Laundry Manager

The Laundry Manager is responsible for the overseeing and supervising of laundry, dry cleaning and uniform room. Coaching and training staff on proper operation standards. Responsible for maintaining clean linens, uniforms, and laundry. Overseeing purchases of linens and uniforms.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complete weekly work schedules.
- Complete weekly payroll reports/daily reports.
- Monthly poundage report. Complete monthly inventories.
- Assist in yearly budgeting plain.
- Purchase linen as needed.
- Monitor outside dryer cleaner cost.
- Coach and train laundry, dry cleaning and uniform staff.
- Discussion with vendors to maintain equipment and chemicals to provide clean and fresh laundry.
- Discussion with laundry engineer on equipment to maintain proper working order.
- Work with purchasing and accounting to ensure shipment and payment of all supplies.
- Maintaining proper amounts of clean linen and uniforms.
- Maintaining budget while efficiently operating a safe and productive laundry, dry cleaning, and uniform room.
Qualifications:
- Previous management experience. (Manager, Housekeeping, Dry Cleaning)
- Background in both housekeeping and laundry.
- Some knowledge of dry cleaning and linen par levels, as well as inventory ordering.
- Must be able to stand for 65% of scheduled shift.
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
- Must be able to speak English.
