Responsibilities:
- Participates in compensation surveys and prepares compensation business analysis for dedicated projects
- Responsible for annual update to market survey databases and answers inquiries related to submissions.
- Assist Director with compensation related communications and strategies
- Lead and support the annual performance review management process (EXCEL) including system setup, communication, auditing of employee reviews, compensation recommendations, and analysis of company-wide data
- Provides guidance and expertise to leadership on compensation related inquiries that are consistent with the organization's policies and practices
- Evaluates roles and responsibilities for placement of new and modified positions; audits process to ensure consistent application of roles and responsibilities
- Responsible for routine system audit of pay code usage and shift differences by job class in HRIS to ensure compliance with NMHS compensation strategies.
- Responsible for review and audit of FLSA change requests and HRIS FLSA setup to ensure consistency and compliance and makes recommendations to HR Leadership as needed.
- Responsible for review and approval of pay code access requests and makes recommendations to HR Leadership for approval of new pay code setup in HRIS as needed.
- Responsible for comparison of survey benchmark data to NMHS compensation strategies; makes recommendations to HR Leadership for any variances that would impact NMHS Compensation strategies for recruitment and retention of workforce.
- Remain current on all Federal and State regulations related to Compensation matters
- Assists with annual employee compensation budgets as needed
- Responsible for evaluation and prioritization of requests to HR system enhancement and modifications to existing systems or new product requests for HR as related to matters concerning compensation.
- Monitor existing HR operations and make recommendation to improve processes and system optimization
- Manage, maintain, generate and analyze periodic and ad-hoc reports from HR system to support business needs
- Perform data analysis and periodic system audits to ensure data integrity for recruiting, payroll and benefit plan support
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business, Finance or healthcare related field required
- Minimum 4+ year's progressive compensation experience required, preferably with market based experience in a large healthcare system supporting a diverse work environment
- Strong interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively regarding a variety of sensitive and complex issues.
- Strong understanding of HR guidelines and regulations, processes and data with excellent self-directed organizational and communication (written and verbal) skills required
- Excellent mathematical, critical thinking and analytical skills required with exceptional problem-solving skills
- Advanced database and Microsoft Office Skills; strong data extraction and analysis skills
- Demonstrated team player with a professional, positive attitude and willingness to be flexible and creative
- Ability to problem solve using judgment sufficient to recognize limits of responsibility and direct issues beyond level of responsibility to appropriate level of personnel
- Certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred
- Demonstrate success working with detailed information requiring precision and accuracy
- Ability to multitask and prioritize projects based on changing business needs; adhere to and meet all deadlines
