Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor

Position Summary:
Oversees and supervises the day to day fleet maintenance activities for all Skagit Transit vehicles. Assists manager in planning, organizing, scheduling, and monitoring all fleet maintenance activities. Provides input to manager on maintenance standards, budgets, policies, and practices. Sets example in providing quality customer service. Responsible for daily input and upkeep of maintenance/vehicle records and history files. Manages vehicle parts room.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
* Coordinate and supervise the day-to-day fleet maintenance activities for all Skagit Transit vehicles
* Assist in selection, training, performance evaluation, shift scheduling and enforcing of work rules of vehicle maintenance staff
* Assist in quality assurance upon completion of repairs and activities.
* Review repairs on vehicles and ensure repairs are stated on work orders and all parts issued are accounted for and are filed for historical data
Qualifications
Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provide the knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform the job. A typical way to meet this requirement would be:
* High School diploma or equivalent
* 4 years of increasing responsibility experience in vehicle equipment maintenance and parts management
* 2 years of lead or supervisor experience
* Valid Washington State Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B
* Maintain acceptable driving record
Salary and Benefits
* Hiring Wage; $29.75-$32.33 per hour (dependent on experience)
